My father shifted to Bangalore in early 60's with no money or education or any contacts, he was in Madras for his sister's wedding and heard Bangalore is wonderful place to live, and yes he was in love with the place on very first visit. He left Gujarat empty handed as all were opposed to his idea of shifting to a big city leaving behind a flourishing business. He used to buy locally small products like bottles, pin, belts or whatever available and visit different areas and sell door to door. He used to eat only after all his stocks was sold. Well this went on for five years and meanwhile, he got married and lady luck struck :) He took a small shop on rent started VINOD PLASTIC HOUSE in 1966, and from then he was unstoppable, he expanded to lot of other products and services. Yes and all this was without help from any relatives or friends.
